A lot of trekkers do the Bhrigu Lake trek for the lake is steeped in mythology. This trek lies in Himachal Pradesh, around 20 km north of Manali and can be accessed from Gulaba. It is known as the place where the famous saint Maharishi Bhrigu sat in deep meditation. However, we believe the lake is not the only thing the trek has to offer. You must do the Bhrigu Lake trek for its grasslands.

Highlights of the Trek

Your Booking Details

The Bhrigu Lake trek, located just 20 km from Manali near Gulaba, is often sought after for its mythological significance as the meditation site of Maharishi Bhrigu—but its true magic lies in the vast alpine meadows that unfold almost immediately after the trek begins. Unlike most Himalayan treks where meadows appear only after days of climbing, here you step into lush, rolling grasslands within minutes, surrounded by wildflowers, grazing sheep, and views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. These meadows accompany you all the way to the glacial Bhrigu Lake at 14,000 ft, offering an immersive experience of high-altitude beauty in just four days. With constantly changing landscapes—snow-covered in July, vibrant green in August and September—this Easy-Moderate trek is perfect for beginners and families seeking a short yet rewarding Himalayan adventure.
