This iconic peak offers an ideal challenge for seasoned trekkers and mountaineering enthusiasts, combining the raw beauty of the Himalayas with the adrenaline of a summit expedition.

Over the course of 7 days, traverse a dynamic landscape of dense forests, alpine meadows, moraine fields, and snow-laden slopes, culminating in an exhilarating summit attempt. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar and Great Himalayan ranges, making the effort immensely rewarding.

This is a technical and difficult-grade trek, requiring good physical fitness, prior trekking experience, and mental resilience. Along the way, you'll receive basic training in ice/snow climbing techniques and be supported by certified guides and professional trek leaders.

Designed as a Manali-to-Manali experience, this expedition includes all essentials—from transport and permits to meals and camping gear—making it a seamless journey from start to summit and back.

Day 1: Arrival in Manali (2,050m)

  • Arrive at base camp in Manali
  • Briefing, gear check, acclimatization walk
  • Overnight stay in tents
  • Day 2: Manali to Solang Valley – Trek to Bakarthach (3,300m)

    • Drive to Solang, trek begins
    • Steep trail through alpine forests and meadows
    • Camp at Bakarthach

    Day 3: Acclimatization at Bakarthach

    • Rest and acclimatization exercises
    • Ice/snow climbing techniques training
    • Overnight stay at the same campsite

    Day 4: Bakarthach to Summit Camp (4,200m)

    • Challenging ascent over moraines and glaciers
    • Setup for summit attempt
    • Early dinner and rest

    Day 5: Summit Attempt – Friendship Peak (5,287m)

    • Midnight start for summit push
    • Climb through snow-covered ridge
    • Panoramic views of Pir Panjal & Dhauladhar ranges
    • Descend to Summit Camp

    Day 6: Summit Camp to Solang Valley – Drive to Manali

    • Trek back to Solang
    • Drive to Manali base camp
    • Celebrate successful summit

    Day 7: Departure from Manali

    • Check-out and return journey
    • End of expedition

    • Twin-sharing tent accommodation

    Exclusions:

    • GST @ 5%
    • ₹100 USD permit fee (for foreign nationals)
    • Travel to/from Manali
    • Personal expenses, insurance
    • Bottled water, soft drinks, or snacks
    • Tips, porters for personal luggage
    • This is a technical and strenuous trek; prior high-altitude trekking experience is recommended.

    • Ensure physical fitness and stamina for summit attempt.

    • Carry government-issued ID and 2 passport-size photos.

    • Avoid alcohol and smoking during the trek.

    • Respect the environment and follow Leave No Trace principles.

    • Weather conditions can be unpredictable; itinerary may change for safety.

       

    Booking:
    • 50% advance required to confirm the booking
    • Remaining amount to be paid at least 7 days before departure
    Cancellation & Refund:
    • More than 30 days prior: 90% refund
    • 15–30 days prior: 50% refund
    • Less than 15 days: No refund
    • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, the trek may be canceled. Full refund (excluding processing fee) will be issued.
